All companies within the Emtek Group have a commitment to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of their employees and their families as well as the local community.

The Emtek Group, through its subsidiary companies, participates in a range of social activities. For example, SCTV Pundi Amal, is a charitable initiative established by SCTV to manage programmes for social improvement in education, health and the environment.

SCTV Pundi Amal was originally created to provide post-disaster recovery charitable services. The experience gained through these activities is now applied to charitable works in economically deprived areas across the country. SCTV Pundi Amal cooperates with Obor Berkat Indonesia (OBI) and Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) in organizing mobile health units to provide medical aid distribution and minor health operations (such as for cataracts and hernias), and blood donations.

SCTV Pundi Amal cooperates with the Indonesian Heritage Foundation in managing educational programmes through the establishment of primary schools covering 198 under-developed locations across Indonesia.
All the schools incorporate the philosophy of Semai Benih Bangsa into the curriculum to encourage morality and character building among the young students.

SCTV and Indosiar are national FTA channel under SCM which is sub-holding of The Emtek Group’s media division, in order to participate in handling social and humanitarian issues and the realization of corporate social responsibility altogether with other donators through Yayasan Peduli Kasih Pundi (YPP) in collaboration with the Indonesian Navy by sending 1,000 blankets, 2 tons of rice, and 75 boxes of sardines for residents affected by the earthquake in Palu, Sigi and Donggala. The aid goods purchased from Surabaya and transported by KRI Surabaya 591 through Surabaya Port on 2 October 2018 and are expected to arrive at Pantoloan Pier, Palu on 8 October 2018. It is hoped that this emergency response will be able to contribute little bit to relieve the burden of our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake in Central Sulawesi.

Humanitarian Aid

Humanitarian assistance in the form of health services and emergency response assistance was also provided for evacuation posts in Desa Lenggem and Desa Batulik, Sembalun, Kab. Lombok Utara. As many as 66 residents and 125 residents received health services and basic needs. Tarp tents and jackets are also distributed as additional equipment. Children in the two villages also participated in trauma healing and received entertainment packages.
