EMTEK Group has taken a significant step toward environmental sustainability by planting 1,000 fruit trees at its 244,514 square-meter Studio Alam EMTEK in Cijayanti, Sentul. This initiative demonstrates EMTEK Group&rsquo;s commitment to mitigate the impacts of climate change, preventing erosion, and reducing carbon emissions.
Led by Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (&ldquo;YPP&rdquo;) and supported by EMTEK subsidiaries PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (&ldquo;SCM&rdquo;), Indosiar, and SCTV, the initiative aligns with global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol. By planting trees that absorb carbon dioxide, EMTEK Group aims to significantly reduce its environmental footprint while contributing to Indonesia&rsquo;s reforestation efforts and also enhance the local ecosystem by naturally absorbing rainwater, preventing soil erosion, and fostering a more sustainable environment in the Studio Alam EMTEK area, known for its high rainfall.

The centralized and integrated setup facilitates better coordination among production crews, actors and actressess and significantly minimizes the need for vehicle transportation, directly contributing to a reduction in the company&rsquo;s carbon footprint.
The 1,000 trees, including rambutan, mango, longan, and avocado, will help sequester carbon, a key component of EMTEK Group&rsquo;s broader mission to achieve net-zero emissions in the coming decades by year 2045. S.E., M.S.E as President Director of the Environmental Fund Management Agency of the Ministry of Finance, Ms. Titis Nurdiana as Vice Editor Chief of Kontan, Mr. Subarjo Joyosumarto, Ph.D as President Director of the Indonesian Banking Development Institute for the period 2007- 2013, Mr. Suwardi Luis as CEO of GML Performance Consulting, Mr. Y.W. Januardy as President Commissioner of Rajawali Corpora &amp; President of Indonesia Global Compact Network and Prof. Firdaus Alamsjah, Ph.D as CREATE Director of Binus University. The Jury evaluated the finalists based on strict criteria, with the jury's assessment focusing on two main topics namely Corporate Management Strategy: the company's cultural approach in achieving long-term benefits based on the company's main objectives; and Organizational Strategy towards ESG Principles: Organizational governance by company management of the company's commitment to efficient and sustainable resources.

PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (IDX Ticker: EMTK, &ldquo;EMTEK&rdquo;) together with Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (&ldquo;YPP&rdquo;) held a Workshop on Calculating Social Return of Investment (&ldquo;SROI&rdquo;) presented by Mr. Susanto - National Director and Mr. Dedy from Habitat For Humanity Indonesia. This workshop is a concrete form of our commitment to increase accountability on various programs .
The workshop was attended by representatives from EMTEK and YPP with the aims to provide a strong understanding of the methodology starting from the program development process until measuring, assessing the tangible and intangible results of the social programs implemented (calculating input, activity, output, outcome, dan impact).
SROI is a method to measure, understand, and evaluate the impact of a social investment/program using a comprehensive approach from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. We need to calculate the input value (investment), impact value and the SROI, whereby afterwards we need to consider the value of deadweight, attribution, displacement and drop off. SROI is equal to Total Outcome divided with Total Input.
SROI is important to assist us to make better decisions by showing the comprehensive value of an investment/social program and increasing transparency and accountability, as well as helping companies or foundations to develop programs that prioritize resources on programs that provide the highest social value and encourage investment in sustainable projects that have long term positive impacts. In the said workshop, we use YPP&rsquo;s activities on &ldquo;Eye Cataract Surgeries&rdquo; and &ldquo;Avocado Trees Planting at Jabungan, Semarang&rdquo; as case studies.
