The training was led by Anton Dewantoro, a renowned consultant from Aktuator, a leading information security management system consulting and certification agency.

Anton provided in-depth insights into the structure and application of an effective anti-bribery management system. ISO 37001:2016, the international standard for anti-bribery management systems, serves as the basis for guiding all employee through the necessary steps to prevent, detect and address bribery. This aligns with EMTEK's Anti-Corruption, Bribery and Illegal Donation Policy, which ensures that all company activities are conducted legally, prudently and in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance ("GCG").
The implementation of this policy is meticulously coordinated, monitored, and evaluated by the dedicated Anti-Bribery Management System Implementation Team (&ldquo;SMAP Team&rdquo;), which plays a critical role in embedding these principles into the company&rsquo;s daily operations. This team&rsquo;s efforts are integral to maintaining EMTEK&rsquo;s reputation as a transparent and ethical business leader.

This workshop is a concrete form of our commitment to increase accountability on various programs .
The workshop was attended by representatives from EMTEK and YPP with the aims to provide a strong understanding of the methodology starting from the program development process until measuring, assessing the tangible and intangible results of the social programs implemented (calculating input, activity, output, outcome, dan impact).
SROI is a method to measure, understand, and evaluate the impact of a social investment/program using a comprehensive approach from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. We need to calculate the input value (investment), impact value and the SROI, whereby afterwards we need to consider the value of deadweight, attribution, displacement and drop off. SROI is equal to Total Outcome divided with Total Input.
SROI is important to assist us to make better decisions by showing the comprehensive value of an investment/social program and increasing transparency and accountability, as well as helping companies or foundations to develop programs that prioritize resources on programs that provide the highest social value and encourage investment in sustainable projects that have long term positive impacts. In the said workshop, we use YPP&rsquo;s activities on &ldquo;Eye Cataract Surgeries&rdquo; and &ldquo;Avocado Trees Planting at Jabungan, Semarang&rdquo; as case studies.

The event was organized by Enterprise Risk Management Academy (ERMA), a global learning centre for risk professionals, and attended by hundreds of companies/institutions in the ASEAN region. This victory shows that EMTEK's capability &amp; commitment to develop risk management practice is currently on par or even better than some of the best companies within the ASEAN Region. With the theme &ldquo;The ASEAN Sustainability&rdquo;, the award ceremony was held at St. Regis Bangkok (Thailand), highlighting the crucial role of risk management in navigating the rapidly changing era and empowering companies/institutions in the ASEAN Region.
Ms. Sylvia Hermawan, EMTEK&rsquo;s Head of Group Internal Audit &amp; Risk Management, shared EMTEK&rsquo;s journey in achieving this victory. She explained that the ARA event has a few awards with specific criteria and EMTEK proposed to be an award recipient for ASEAN GRC award, Public Initiative award and ESRM Pioneer award since 2023. "In 2023, we
only managed to qualify as a nominee for the Public Initiative award. In 2024, we succeeded in making significant positive improvements and qualified as nominees for the Public Initiative award and ESRM Pioneer award. Finally, we were declared winners as Runner Up for ESRM Pioneer award on July 5th 2024 at St. Regis Bangkok, Thailand," said Sylvia.
The assessment criteria for the award encompass the concept, execution, and impact of risk management for the company. In the evaluation process, EMTEK excelled in integrating the environmental and social considerations into our risk management strategies, which is the specific criteria for ESRM Pioneer award; and also making significant contributions to improving the quality of life for communities while also demonstrating their commitment to responsible risk management, which is the specific criteria for Public Initiative award. PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (IDX Ticker: EMTK, &ldquo;EMTEK&rdquo;) not only views human rights as a responsibility, but also as a core value that underlies all company operations. To support this, EMTEK organised a training event entitled &ldquo;GRI Human Rights Training&rdquo; by presenting Lany Harijanti, an expert with more than 25 years of experience in Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) at the ASEAN regional level. The training was met with great enthusiasm, as seen from the attendance of the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, and business unit leaders from both EMTEK and its subsidiaries.
The training started by exploring sustainability good practices for media services, information technology and health care services. In the media industry, through the Creative Industries Pact for Sustainable Action, we underlined the importance of adopting specific strategies in implementing business practices that promote resource efficiency such as land use, water conservation, waste reduction and transport management. For example, Netflix has utilised its platform to raise awareness of climate issues through content presented to viewers. On-screen content and social impact, workforce and culture, together with sustainable production and operations, are also discussed. In addition, there is the Green Production Guide, an industry standard for creating productions of films, television shows, commercials to conform to ESG principles. As for in healthcare industry, we assess the use of energy for heating, cooling, lighting and water use in our hospitals, waste hauling and treatment, supplies and materials, waste anesthetic gases, meat procurement and food transport, employee commutes and various other aspects relating to the management and operations of hospitals.
Furthermore, the training explored the issue of human rights due diligence using the perspectives of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948, International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights 1966, ILO Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights 1966, United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Corporate Governance Network. Discussions also included an in-depth understanding of the protection of children's and women's rights, elaborated through the principles of UNICEF and the Women's Empowerment Principles in the current global context. Corporate Human Rights Policy and Human Rights Risks Assessment (HRRA) are required as an essential part of a company. The policy stipulates that when human rights violations occur, companies are expected to have effective remediation and rehabilitation procedures in place. Business ethics, good corporate governance and anti-corruption (bribery) are also discussed in this seminar as ongoing values that should be uphold.
Titi Maria Rusli, Chairwoman of EMTEK's Environmental, Social &amp; Governance Committee, shared her views enthusiastically, &ldquo;With many incidents of human rights violations in the workplace such as forced labour, child labour, and discrimination against women and minorities, we believe that the fight for human rights remains relevant in today's global conditions. Therefore, we sincerely hope that this training will be an important milestone in the development of a work culture that respects and promotes human rights. We also endeavour to fulfil the rights of every EMTEK worker by giving them space to voice their opinions, assemble freely, free from all forms of discrimination, and adequate facilities to maintain their safety.&rdquo;

The Sapphire rating of Best Enterprise in Regulatory Compliance is the highest rating. It is awarded to companies that are recognized as consistently demonstrating excellence in complying with all applicable regulations and policies. Companies selected for this rating not only comply with the regulations, but also set high standards in their industry, becoming role models for other companies in terms of regulatory compliance.
The recipient of the Leader of the Year in Regulatory Compliance award received the highest score from the judges for his/ her leadership in the company. The assessment was conducted on all winners (leaders) in each industry sector, then one best winner was selected. Titi Maria Rusli, EMTEK's Legal Director, was selected as the best leader. "The dynamic world of law is not something to fear as long as we continue to learn the steps that can be taken. I encourage EMTEK's legal team to be at the forefront of legal compliance," said Ms. Titi Maria Rusli when receiving Leader of the Year in Regulatory Compliance award.
The independent Board of Jury, featuring notable figures such as Mrs. Anika Faisal, Mr. Arief T. Surowidjojo, Mr. Didik S. Setyadi, Mr. Agustinus A. Haryono, and Mr. Mas Achmad Daniri, evaluated the nominees based on stringent criteria with the jury's assessment focusing on three major topics such as Strategies Implemented by Companies: Efforts to improve or maintain legal compliance; Management Performance: Organizational management by leaders in fulfilling legal compliance obligations; and Control of Legal Compliance in Subsidiaries: Oversight and control mechanisms.

Tech scion Alvin Sariaatmadja champions the transformative potential of innovation and technology in propelling economic growth, a belief rooted in his firsthand corporate experiences. Alongside his adept entrepreneurial skills, he embodies this conviction. In his acceptance speech upon receiving the 2024 Australian Alumni Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Alvin Sariaatmadja expressed his global aspirations, saying, &ldquo;I aspire to inspire entrepreneurs worldwide to continue making an impact and generating employment, thus contributing to our nation&rsquo;s prosperity and fostering positive change.&rdquo;
Since assuming the role of President Director of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi (EMTEK) in 2015, Alvin&rsquo;s fervor for digital technology has reshaped the company. Under his guidance, EMTEK, initially a personal computer distributor established over 40 years ago, has emerged as a leader in media technology, digital infrastructure, and healthcare. Addressing the recent B20 Summit Indonesia, Alvin highlighted how innovation and technology-enabled EMTEK to venture into previously inaccessible domains. He remarked, &ldquo;Industries such as e- commerce, retail payments, digital banking, and online healthcare, once requiring substantial capital and time investment to establish infrastructure, became accessible. Technology has rewritten the rules, accelerating business scalability and development.&rdquo;
Career Development
Established in 1983 by Alvin&rsquo;s father, Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatmadja, EMTEK has undergone a remarkable evolution from its origins as the exclusive distributor of compact computers in Indonesia. Today, this Jakarta-listed corporation (now: Indonesia Stock Exchange) boasts a diverse portfolio spanning over a dozen businesses, including broadcasting, digital payment, and e-commerce to a chain of hospitals.
Despite EMTEK being co-founded by his father, Alvin initially chose a career path outside the family business. After earning Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Finance degrees from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2005, he embarked on a career as a
financial analyst at Melbourne-based investment bank Lazard Carnegie Wylie. In this role, he honed his financial modeling and strategic advisory expertise across various sectors, including retail, transportation, financial services, and healthcare. Reflecting on his time in Australia, Alvin remarked, &ldquo;I have many fond memories of my time there. As an Indonesian who spent ten formative years in Australia, I am immensely proud to witness the strong bond between our two countries across different sectors. It is truly inspiring.&rdquo;
Alvin joined EMTEK Group in 2009 and worked his way up in several directorial positions until he became the President Director in April 2015. At the helm of EMTEK, Alvin has focused on digitizing the company&rsquo;s diverse businesses. One of the notable milestones under his leadership was the acquisition of digital payment startup PT Espay Debit Indonesia Koe (EDIK) in 2017, which operated the e-wallet DANA. DANA was among the early startups introducing a cashless payment system, now ubiquitous in Indonesia.
In 2019, EMTEK&rsquo;s subsidiary, PT Mediatama Televisi, launched NEXPARABOLA, an affordable subscription satellite television service catering to viewers in urban and rural areas. With NEXPARABOLA, Indonesians can access a range of content, including international and domestic football competitions. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 prompted significant transformations in the global healthcare industry, with companies investing in technology to provide remote patient services, including telehealth and online pharmacies. Recognising the opportunities in the healthcare sector, EMTEK acquired a controlling stake in hospital operator PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan in November 2020.
&ldquo;I view our ongoing efforts as a continuous journey, one that presents unique
challenges in transforming traditional businesses with technology. It&rsquo;s a complex process, far
&nbsp;more challenging than creating new ventures from scratch, as it requires reimagining existing structures from the ground up,&rdquo; remarked Alvin, 41, at the B20 Summit. &ldquo;COVID-19 has compelled us to accelerate this process, forcing a reevaluation of business processes, supply chain and customer interactions.&rdquo;
Another significant milestone for EMTEK was Bukalapak's initial public offering (IPO) in August 2021. The IPO raised IDR 21.9 trillion (USD 1.36 billion), marking the largest IPO in Indonesia&rsquo;s capital market history. Bukalapak also became the first Indonesian unicorn to be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Alvin&rsquo;s successful leadership has earned him accolades, including being named the Best CEO in Online Application and Services by the weekly magazine Tempo and news website IDNFinancial last year. Additionally, he is a member of the Media International Advisory Council, a forum where industry leaders convene to discuss developments in the Southeast Asian media industry.
Government policy
Drawing from his experience in digitizing EMTEK Group&rsquo;s business, Alvin underscores the importance of innovative and forward-looking government policies that foster wealth and job creation, ultimately leading to trickle-down and multiplier effects that spur economic growth. Alvin cited the Indonesian Government&rsquo;s initiative to mandate the midstream and downstream processing of nickel ore domestically to establish a comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) supply chain &ndash; from mining and smelting to EV battery manufacturing. This policy, he noted, has generated substantial value creation, job opportunities, and knowledge transfer from developed nations to developing countries.
&ldquo;Effective policy-making, when implemented adeptly, can yield significant value. Based on these experiences, I firmly believe that innovation and technology are powerful drivers of economic growth.&rdquo; Alvin also envisions potential collaboration with Australia in the technology sector. &ldquo;By fostering greater cooperation across various domains, we can unlock synergies.
For instance, in the technology realm, Indonesia possesses ample nickel resources, while Australia boasts significant lithium reserves. Collaborating to establish a battery ecosystem would be highly beneficial,&rdquo; he elaborated after the Gala Dinner commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Australia and Indonesia. &ldquo;I earnestly hope that as we celebrate our 75 years of diplomatic relations, this partnership will not only endure but flourish for centuries to come,&rdquo; Alvin added.
